I couldn't help it. I'm watching.

So either way things go right here, you know who's responsible.

Man, I have to give the Brewers all the props in the world for playing the Padres hard this series. It's too bad they missed out on the playoffs; it would be really good for baseball if the whole NL playoffs was fresh teams.

Well, You're winning in the bottom of the 8th. I'm cheering you guys on.

Also: I just called the season ticket holders' hotline to see about getting seats for the one-game play-in game and all the lines were jammed.

Does Fogg get the start tomorrow against Peavy?

Say, Confucius, don't count chickens before they hatch...

The early word is that Hurdle likes Fogg's veteran experience. But who else could he start? You can't use Jeff Francis on two days' rest and the Rockies don't have anybody else worth moving up.

The wild card choice would be somebody like Taylor Buchholz, but it'll never happen. Never.

OK, that's one out. Yikes.

They're not my chickens. I'm a Dodger fan. :)

Dodger fans are always welcome to count their chickens in the Bad Altitude chat room so long as Ned Colletti, Jeff Kent and Bill Plaschke continue to run their organization.

You know, it may be about time we give this Diamondbacks team their due. Despite their weird run differential, it has to be said that their approach keeps them in every game. They're like a hydra.

You give too much credit to Colletti. It's mostly Plaschke even though he's an Angel fan.

Peavy going for the Padres tomorrow. He's not that spectacular in Coors field.

What time is the game? Will it be nationally televised?

Go Rocks!

I said it over at DT, but I'll say it here too: the Rockies have my allegiance for tomorrow's game.

Wow.
Go Rox! Even though I'm still kind of pissed about that series you took from us. But it all worked out, so no hard feelings.

19 On TBS.

There would be nothing more satisfying then to watch the Padres go down tomorrow with Jake Peavy on the mound.

This is far out. Not that it's any consolation, but in my year of being wrong about everything, the Rockies finally did what I always said they had to do and played (near-) .500 ball on the road, 39-42. Still, I am very glad the game tomorrow is in Colorado. We are trying to get more information about whether it's a day game or night game and where it'll be on TV (ESPN? TBS?)

5:30 PM tomorrow (local) at Coors.

The postgame TV guys are saying Franklin Morales is a possibility to start tomorrow, but I'm not hearing it.

Ah, Bob of course had it: TBS, 5:30 mountain.

Vin Scully has said it will be Josh Fogg pitching and so it shall be.

I assume it will actually be Johnny Wholestaff. We might even see Elmer Dessens!

2007-09-30 15:32:03
33.   Mark T.R. Donohue
Clint Hurdle confirmed it without hesitation in his postgame press conference: Josh Fogg will start tomorrow.

34.   Mark T.R. Donohue
Although evidently Vin knew before Clint.

Vin does not approve of the choice of Josh Fogg.
