Baseball season is over.
No more baseball! For months!
I am inconsolable.
(It may be a few days until I recover enough to consider baseball rationally again. Until then, perhaps you might like to read this piece I wrote about a music festival in Colorado. The pictures will remind you how beautiful it is here, and how nice it really is to live in this place, like the weather today. It makes one start to suspect that perhaps there is indeed life beyond baseball, and November through February won't suck inclusively.)
(But only a little.)
(and at least your team doesn't have to deal with a drama queen like A-Rod)
I'm not sure I really believe that, but that's how I comforted myself after 2001 and 2003.
Of course, it didn't really work for me, but it might work for you Mark!

Two years ago I wept a tear or two of joy because Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell were finally going to go to the World Series.
Then the Astros got their butts kicked and friends were calling to make sure I wasn't going to slit my wrists.
2 Yes, 2001 also sucked. Getting swept is bad, but losing in the 9th of game 7.... oy.
I don't think fans of teams appreciate that enough.
And think of how things could have been
And when I look back
I remember some words you had said to me
Its better to have lost at love
Then never to have loved at all
Congrats, Mark. You've got no reason to hang your head, and for a good long while your team actually was the buzzsaw. I think people will start taking Colorado a little more seriously now >;)
i am glad that i got to see tulowitski and holliday play as much as i did. dang, they're good. and jiminez sure looks like he's something special.
your team copyrighted the term "rocktober" for a reason.
